As the situation is changing, EPMC is currently able to offer both telehealth and face to face appointments. Should you need to be seen in person please contact the surgery by telephone on 8259 2333.
As of 20/07/2020. Medicare rebates for telehealth appointments are only available to patients who have been seen in person at the clinic in the last 12 months. If you do not meet this requirement and you would like a telehealth appointment, we can offer a privately billed consultation at our standard rates. There are exceptions to the 12 month rule (eg children 1 year of age).
All patients with respiratory symptoms (such as sore throat, runny nose, cough, shortness of breath. loss of taste or smell) or fever, will not be seen in the clinic and if need an appointment, will require it to be through telehealth. This includes symptoms that are very mild to protect doctors, staff and patients. It is recommended that everyone with respiratory symptoms arrange to have a swab for Covid-19. Click on the below for information on testing centres.
If you are attending the surgery we ask that only the patient attend the practice for their appointment. Other family members or friends should remain at home wherever possible please advise us if another family member is needed to be in attendance.
On arrival at the clinic we ask that you REMAIN IN YOUR CAR and phone reception to let them know you are here. They will advise you when the doctor is ready to come directly in to the consulting room. When in the surgery please practise social distancing, use the hand sanitizer and avoid unnecessary touching of surfaces and equipment etc. Our nurse will meet you at the front door to check your health and wellbeing is our priority and we have multiple measures in place to ensure your safety when attending appointments.
EPMC would like to thank our patients for their understanding as we all adapt to the changes and restrictions at this time. The clinic team regularly reviews our procedures and current Covid-19 status of South Australia and changes can occur at short notice.
